For my pevious review of Virgin America, see my previous post. Prior to my flight back to New York, I purchased a network cable so I could test out the in-flight Internet access, especially since my flight attendant on the previous flight said that it was up and running, but I just needed the cable to connect. I anxiously got onto the plane and patiently waited until we got up in the air. I was excited as I plugged in the cable and turned on my computer, but lo and behold I could not get an IP address. I flagged down a stewardess and asked if the problem was just me, especially given some of the buggy technology on the plane that I talked about earlier. She told me that the Internet is not up and running but that it is a feature that they will be releasing in the future. I was disappointed to say the least. I hope that Virgin America gets their act together and fully implements their in-flight services soon, otherwise I will not be willing to pay a premium to fly with them again.
